The Account Representative represents the full range of the company’s products and services assigned to specific clients while leading client account planning to ensure that their needs and expectations are met by the company.
Essential Functions:
- Establish professional, productive, and effective relationships with specific client accounts.
- Coordinate with company personnel, including service, sales, and management teams, to achieve execution objectives and meet client expectations.
- Achieve strategic goals, objectives, and assigned tasks to increase profitable sales in assigned accounts.
- Proactively lead and execute strategic account planning processes to develop mutual execution, financial, and key objectives between the client and the company over a one (1) to three (3) year period.
- Generate and update monthly client and product sales forecasts in the CRM system.
- Evaluate, analyze, clarify, and proactively validate client needs to develop sales strategies and expand the product portfolio.
- Provide solution alternatives to address client needs by involving and coordinating support from sales specialists, management, and other company resources as necessary.
- Capture potential new accounts to develop them strategically and include them in the portfolio.
- Closely coordinate management-level relationships with clients.
- Collaborate with product specialists, inside sales, and customer service teams to ensure client satisfaction and problem resolution.
- Strategically achieve designated sales plans for accounts.
- Meet assigned profitability expectations.
- Achieve corporate sales and planning objectives outlined for clients and/or accounts.
- Cultivate and maintain strong business relationships with clients and suppliers.
- Coordinate with sales and purchasing departments to negotiate and maintain WDC’s strategic advantage and cost improvements.
- Ensure client documentation is organized, consistent, and readily available as requested by suppliers, clients, or authorized WDC personnel.
- Provide clients with technical information about products/services sold by WDC.
- Attend sales meetings as requested.
- Participate in offsite training sessions as necessary and approved by management.
- Ensure all group, individual, and company-level profit and sales goals are met according to established expectations and metrics.
- Support collection efforts for assigned accounts.
- Perform any other duties related to the position as requested by management personnel.
- Participate in the annual inventory process.
Additional Functions:
- Fully understand and comply with company policies and procedures.
- Report any violations of such policies, including but not limited to: integrity, conduct, safety, or compliance issues.
- Attend meetings, training sessions, and company-notified activities.
- Conduct or participate in meetings with managers or employees.

Requirements & Skills
- Preferably with a Bachelor's degree or Associate's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or Electrical Engineering.
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience in sales of industrial or commercial electrical products.
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience in business-to-business sales.
- Proficient in computer skills (Microsoft Office®).
- Bilingual (English-Spanish).
- Ability to work in a dynamic work environment.
- Must own a car and have a valid driver’s license.
- Availability to travel across the island.
- Strong learning and adaptability skills.
- Goal- and results-oriented.
- Ability to understand and analyze market trends.
- Self-motivated, structured, organized, and committed.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret business reports, professional publications, technical procedures, legal documents, or government regulations, among others.
- Aptitude for addressing and resolving client issues.

- Skilled in negotiations and closing orders.
- Ability to generate sales projections.
- Ability to produce written reports.
- Skilled in presenting products to clients at all levels and in various areas.

- Knowledge of calculating discounts, interest, commissions, proportions and percentages, rates, ratios, and interpreting graphs.
