Credit Supervisor
Location: Addison, IL
Job type: Full Time
Salary Range: $75,000 - $104,000
Schedule: Standard Daytime hours, Monday - Friday
*The exact amount of base salary may vary based on experience and skills brought to the role. Eligible for short term incentive program.
Viking Electric, a Sonepar company, is seeking a Credit Supervisor to lead our Chicago market credit team and help drive strong financial performance through effective credit management, coaching, and customer support. If you’re a collaborative leader with a passion for developing people, reducing risk, and supporting business growth, we want to hear from you.
What You’ll Do
As a Credit Supervisor, you will play a key role in overseeing credit operations, supporting team performance, and partnering with our sales and customer teams. In this role, you will:
Leadership & Team Development
- Supervise and support the Chicago Credit team (4–5 direct reports)
- Monitor workload, provide training, and deliver ongoing coaching and performance management
Customer & Internal Support
- Respond to account inquiries from customers, internal associates, and outside organizations
- Resolve account issues, maintain billing accuracy, and protect customer goodwill
- Approve orders, maintain credit data, and securely share credit information when appropriate
Credit Issue Resolution
- Partner with Customers and the Sales Team to resolve credit concerns in a professional, timely manner
Accounts Receivable Support
- Assist Credit Analysts in managing open receivables to ensure timely collection
Compliance & Internal Controls
- Support the Credit Manager with regulatory requirements and internal control compliance
What You Bring
- Minimum 3 years of progressive credit management experience
- Supervisory or lead experience preferred
- Experience in construction distribution or similar industry desired
- Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, finance, or equivalent experience
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks
- Excellent communication skills—both written and verbal
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, MS Teams, and related systems
- Ability to independently follow procedures and make sound decisions
- Valid driver’s license; limited travel required
