Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute long-term purchasing strategies aligned with business objectives, sales growth, and profitability.
- Lead and oversee the overall purchasing function, ensuring efficient procurement operations and compliance with company policies.
- Develop and manage the annual purchasing budget while driving cost optimization and procurement savings initiatives.
- Build strategic partnerships with local and international suppliers, leading commercial negotiations on pricing, payment terms, lead time, rebates, contracts, and supply agreements.
Evaluate supplier performance through KPIs and conduct regular business reviews to drive continuous improvement and strengthen supplier partnerships. - Develop sourcing strategies, optimize supplier portfolios, and identify alternative sourcing opportunities to mitigate supply risks.
- Collaborate with Sales, Product Management, Warehouse, Logistics, Finance, and Customer Service to ensure product availability and achieve business objectives.
- Lead inventory planning and replenishment strategies using MRP/Slim4 to optimize working capital while maintaining targeted service levels.
- Analyze market trends, demand forecasts, supplier capacity, inventory performance, and business risks to support strategic decision-making.
- Oversee supplier rebate programs, inventory investment, purchasing budgets, and profitability improvement initiatives.
- Ensure data accuracy, governance, and effective utilization of ERP systems (Microsoft Dynamics AX or equivalent).
- Drive purchasing process improvements, digital transformation, automation initiatives, and operational excellence.
- Lead, coach, mentor, and develop the Purchasing team through performance management, succession planning, and capability development.
Prepare and present purchasing performance, supplier scorecards, inventory analysis, budget performance, and strategic reports to senior management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher in related field.
- Minimum 8–10 years' experience; 5 years in people management.
- Experience in Trading/Distribution/Electrical/B2B preferred.
- Proven procurement strategy, supplier management and business transformation.
- Strong financial and commercial acumen; budget & KPI management.
- ERP (AX/SAP/Oracle); MRP/Slim4 highly preferred.
- Leadership, strategic thinking, change management and stakeholder management.
- MNC experience preferred; Good English; Power BI is a plus.
