Scope of the Position:
The benefits & HRIS Analyst is responsible for managing and analyzing Sonepar’s benefits programs and HR Information Systems (HRIS). This role involves ensuring the effective administration of employee benefits, maintaining accurate HR data and providing insights through data analysis to support HR strategies and decision-making.
Major Responsibilities:
Benefit Administration
- Administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans and wellness initiatives.
- Handle open enrollment processes and address benefits-related inquiries.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant policies and guidelines.
- Create and distribute required benefit enrolment emails.
- Maintain the Sun Life enrolment tool (opening enrolment for new hires, life events, etc.)
- Assist Finance with monthly benefit reconciliation & validate HRIS file from Sun Life.
- Collect payments for premiums for associates that are on leave of absence.
- Approve RRSP enrolments and enter contribution changes.
- Conduct benefit orientations and assist employees with the enrollment process.
- Conduct workshops or training sessions on total reward programs
HRIS Management
- Ensure accuracy of data quality between HRIS & Payroll
- Generate reports and analyze HR data to support strategic planning.
- Act as first point of contact for payroll system password resets.
- Identify opportunities to enhance HR processes through system automation.
- Assist with HRIS implementation and enhancements when applicable.
- Troubleshoot system issues and collaborate with IT via SNOW (ticket system).
Data Analysis and Reporting
- Collect and analyze data related to benefits and rewards.
- Prepare and present reports on HR metrics, such as turnover rates, employee demographics etc.
- Provide data-driven insights to support HR initiatives and decision-making
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of benefit programs and HRIS processes
- Assist with audits and regulatory reporting as needed.
Requirements:
- Minimum 2-4 years of related experience in benefits administration and HRIS management.
- A degree in Human Resources or CHRP equivalent.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat with advanced Excel skills
- Excellent organization and mathematical skills
- High level of attention to detail
- Experience with HRIS platforms (eg. SAP SuccessFactors) is preferred
