Reporting to the Warehouse Coordinator the purpose of the Operations Coordinator is the ensure the smooth, efficient, and unterrupted procssing and administration of orders in the Central Distribution Centre.
Main responsibilities include (but are not lmited by) the following:
Key Responsibilities
- Manage unavailable and defective inventory, including investigations, adjustments, and write‑offs.
- Support Warehouse Supervisor with rewind shortages and use the OPS Rewind Report to prioritize high‑value/high‑risk lots.
- Review short picks, zero/negative inventory, and cycle count discrepancies; identify root causes and resolve issues.
- Act as first point of contact for inventory issues; conduct stock checks and provide product photos when required.
- Ensure accurate replenishment of primary pick locations from bulk/overstock daily.
- Optimize storage locations, including relocating undersized reels and managing labels, dividers, and location activations/deactivations.
- Maintain FIFO practices and rotate/return expiring goods to vendors.
- Perform SKU-to-SKU product moves both physically and in the system.
- Collaborate with Operations and Purchasing teams to resolve NCRs and ensure NCR materials are properly located.
- Assist with Ontario CDC inquiries and general problem-solving.
Education & Training
• University/College education required. Certification in Operations Management an asset
• Knowledge of Microsoft office required.
• Rubicon knowledge an asset
Experience
• 5-10 years related experience in Operations required (preferably in Distribution)
• Quality Management, lean development experience necessary
• Ontario Health & Safety experience
