Scope of the Position

Responsible for driving digital customer adoption at the OpCo’s in Sonepar Ontario including webshop eCommerce, mobile commerce and Systems-to-Systems integration – eLink, Punchout, EDI/XML etc.

 
Major Responsibilities

  
   Digital Adoption

  • Meet with customers to promote, demonstrate, train, and implement eCommerce sales tools and system-to-system integration for digital transactions
  • Drive eCommerce utilization with existing customers, by working with our internal sales and management teams
  • Work with internal technical teams to enhance existing eCommerce solutions and seek out new solutions that fit customer needs
  • Liaise with inside and outside sales teams to drive eCommerce adoption
  • Work with the Director, Digital to develop comprehensive selling information tools to ensure sales teams are able to effectively present eCommerce
  • Primary level technical support as required
  • Be a point of contact for eCommerce related enquiries and enhancement requests
  • Creation of short and long term goals for customer adoption and sales
  • Travel to branches as required
  • Consistent eCommerce site usage to ensure that it performs to customer expectations, and represents company properly
  • Build customer targets for eCommerce adoption, with help of sales and management teams
  • Product enrichment: such as improving titles, images, descriptions and categorization
  • Search improvement: such as updating search results, updating keywords & synonyms, working with customers to update their personal codes

 

 

 

Qualifications and experience required:

 

  • Post secondary education in business and/or a technical discipline is an asset
  • Electrical products industry and or electrical products/materials knowledge an asset
  • Tech-savvy: good understanding eCommerce and digital
  • Ability to communicate with a wide variety of employees and users with different levels of technical acumen
  • Experience with Microsoft Office products, with an emphasis on Excel, experience with PowerBI an asset
  • Prioritizing tasks to build digital strengths as efficiently as possible
  • Over 3 years work experience preferably in eCommerce/Sales environment
  • Over 3 years work experience preferably in the electrical products distribution industry
