What a day in this role looks like:
SUMMARY:
The Logistics/Projects Coordinator is responsible for coordinating the release of large orders and special service offerings on a schedule to ensure that material is released timely and accurately. This role will be utilized in the CDC/Transportation Departments. The person in this position is exposed to all elements that exist in a warehouse environment where the noise level is usually moderate.
Physical Requirements:
The person in this position will frequently lift and/or move up to 100lbs using manual and PIT Equipment.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Work with sales and warehouse staff on releases dates for large orders.
- Oversee inventory on all MHE (Blue Reels, Stock Cages, Pipe Carts, Gen Carts and Drop Boxes)
-Inventory incoming and outgoing blue spin reels and confirm correct MHE tied to specific sales orders.
- Work with Routing and Sales to assign holding routes for the deliveries.
-Coordinate with the Transportation / Cross Dock managers on fleet support for large orders or special handling deliveries.
-Inventory management. Work closely to support the recovery efforts on inventory adjustments.
- Communicate with the appropriate departments on specific jobs and timelines.
-Maintain the organization of the MHE holding area and remove for service any MHE requiring repairs.
-Work with receiving and outbound as required to maintain inventory of MHE (Blue Reels, Stock Cages, Pipe Carts, Gen Carts, Drop Boxes and Smart Locker utilization inventory management)
-Maintain the return of material with inbound team and follow up with sales on returns that were not able to be picked up. Daily process to sure up the RPD processes.
-Work with CDC/Transportation on implementation of special project processes.
- Perform other duties as required or directed by the manager.
What we are looking for you to bring to us:
- High School Diploma with some college or vocational school experience or equivalent knowledge through job related experience and training.
- 1 to 2 Years of job-related experience and training.
- Must be organized, detail oriented and possess the ability to multi-task
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to adapt quickly to changes and excel in a fast-paced working environment.
- Ability to lift, up to 100 pounds with the aid of PIT equipment.
