Scope of the Position

 

Reporting to the Marketing Director, the Marketing Specialist (Events & Experiential Marketing), is a highly organized and detail-oriented professional with a passion for creating impactful experiences. You bring strong project management skills and the ability to execute events that strengthen customer relationships, elevate brand presence and support business growth.

 

In this role, you will lead the planning and execution of corporate events, trade shows, customer activations, charity fundraising events and internal initiatives. As a Marketing Specialist, you will collaborate closely with our sales teams and supplier partners to ensure events are strategically aligned with business objectives and executed to the highest standard.

 

You thrive in a fast-paced environment, enjoy working cross-functionally, and are committed to delivering exceptional experiences from concept through to execution.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Plan and execute a portfolio of events by organizing all aspects from conception to completion, including defining goals, timelines, budgets, logistics, and post-event evaluation
  • Manage event registration platforms and attendee communications
  • Collaborate with supplier partners on sponsorships, participation, and co-branded activations
  • Develop and execute event marketing plans, including promotional campaigns and content (invitations, signage, post-event communications)
  • Manage event budgets and ensure cost-effective execution
  • Measure event success through attendance, engagement, and sales impact, and provide insights and recommendations
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors and event partners
  • Identify opportunities to enhance the attendee experience and improve event processes
  • Stay current on industry trends and bring forward new experiential ideas

 

Requirements:

 

  • 2–4 years of experience in event marketing with a degree or diploma in event planning, marketing, or a related field
  • Strong project management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple events simultaneously
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Experience with event platforms is an asset
  • Passion for delivering exceptional experiences that reflect brand values
  • Highly organized, proactive, and solutions-oriented with strong attention to detail
  • Collaborative team player with a customer-first mindset and ability to adapt to changing priorities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
