Scope of the Position


Reporting to the Vice President - Sales, the Business Development Manager is responsible for managing and maximizing growth and profitability within assigned accounts. and capitalizing on large operating company MRO supply and service opportunities.


Major Responsibilities


  • Develop account growth strategy within Vallen and work with senior and local management to execute
    • Includes growth in new account locations, new Vallen capabilities, and maximizing account penetration within agreed upon contracts and framework
  • Drive customer interaction and assist sales force inside and outside in finding and closing opportunities
  • Design, document and lead the account site selling and sales management activities via the local Vallen branch and team as applicable
  • Develop supplier plans to assure supplier profitability, relationship and activity within account site and corporate offices
  • Deliver and manage quarterly and annual business reviews
  • Development and execution of annual account business plans and budget / forecasts
  • Some Travel


Education, Training & Experience

  • University/College Diploma preferred.
  • Proficient working knowledge of Microsoft Office required.
  • Knowledge of MRO distribution operating software required.
  • Valid Class 5 Driver’s Licence required
  • Minimum 5-7 years of related experience, preferable in a Sales/Distribution environment. 
  • Industry experience preferred
