What you will do:

Overseeing the shipping, warehousing, and distribution operations to ensure efficiency and accuracy.
Ensure that staff is appropriately trained in multiple warehouse functions, to assist in balancing staffing needs while fulfilling customer orders.
Communicate status updates throughout the evening with other shift managers and provide an overall evening summary at the end of the evening.
Preparing and presenting reports on warehouse operations, including inventory levels, performance metrics, and other key data.
Establish and maintain a lean environment, Gemba boards, 5S and Kaizen.
Recommend equipment requirements and replacements to upgrade and maintain warehouse productivity and efficiency.
Motivate employees to meet productivity goals and efficiency goals.
Promote and adhere to warehouse safety programs to provide employees with a safe and clean workplace.

What you will bring:

Prior warehouse management experience.
Strong communication skills.
The ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
The ability to obtain certification in the operation of powered industrial trucks including but not limited to, pallet jack, forklift, and order picker.
The desire to maintain an organized and positive warehouse environment.
The ability to operate computers and/or relevant warehouse computer software.  
Familiarity and adaptability to automation systems.

Physical Requirements and Work Environment

This job is performed in a standard warehouse setting around a variety of equipment, parts, and inventory.
The ability to stand and walk for the full length of the assigned shift.
The ability to lift, push, and pull material and objects weighing up to 50 lbs and heavier weights with proper equipment.
The ability to bend, stoop, kneel, reach, and climb to perform various duties.
The ability to operate appropriate powered industrial trucks safely. Training will be provided.

Salary Range: This is an exempt position with a salary range from $60-$75k annually.

Location: Cranbury, NJ Central Distribution Center

Work Hours: M-F 8 pm – 5 am.
