Director Industrial Sales
This leadership role will drive customer business outcomes and solutions to internal and external customers with industrial applications and related services. This position involves working closely with end users, system integrators, OEM's, engineering consulting firms and electrical contractors, specifying and applying our products for use.
Key Accountabilities:
- Lead all sales efforts in calling on industrial, government, institutional and OEM customers
- Develop marketing and business plans, technical promotional activities, and support market objectives while possessing ownership and understanding of the existing market, trends, and competitive landscape
- Work with both internal and external customers on technical and product training, product selection, and pre/post-sales support
- Quotation preparation, including development of material for Smart Components (Small Controllers, Industrial Control, Sensors, Safety, Distributed I/O, and conditioned based monitoring) and related services as needed for customer
- Work closely with manufacture sales engineers and engineering consultants to get products and services specified
- Engage in a proactive role with your customers’ buying behavior, becoming an intrinsic part of a customer’s future manufacturing designs and delivering an exceptional customer experience
- Maintain a Sales Funnel to accomplish Sales Goals/Meet Sales Growth Objectives for the Smart Components
- Developing and implementing strategic plans for development and growth of QED Industrial Sales Department
- Developing and implementing strategic plans for Industrials sales targets
- Develop customer pricing strategy that enhances company profitability
- Investigate and resolve customer issues
- Attend trade shows and meetings as needed
- Other duties as required
Minimum work experience requirements:
- Must have experience with electrical/lighting supplies
- Strong written and verbal skills in a team environment
- Experience with automation systems such as smart devices, small controllers, industrial control, sensors, safety, distributed I/O, and conditioned based monitoring and related services
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Teams
- Self-driven, proactive desire to develop a stronger understanding of all Industrial products and service offerings
- College degree preferred or equal experience and expertise in this area
Salary range: $120.000 - $165,000
