The Gear Quotations Coordinator supports the Northeast Region by preparing accurate, timely, and profitable quotations for customer projects. This role works across sales, project management, branch teams, customers, vendors, and manufacturers to create consistent quotation practices, improve project handoffs, and deliver a dependable customer experience. The coordinator also helps advance the region’s vision for greater operational alignment, shared processes, and scalable support across locations.
We are looking for a team member who will:
- Review project plans, specifications, and customer requirements to develop accurate bills of material and complete gear quotations.
- Prepare and submit competitive bid proposals that meet deadlines, margin expectations, and documentation standards.
- Partner with sales and quotations leadership to develop pricing strategies, identify alternatives, and support profitable project decisions.
- Coordinate with project management and sales teams to ensure a clear, timely handoff from quotation through order execution.
- Communicate proactively with customers, vendors, manufacturers, and internal partners throughout the bid and quotation process.
- Confirm special pricing, terms, lead times, product availability, and approved substitutions, and maintain accurate supporting documentation.
- Follow standardized Northeast Region quotation processes and contribute ideas that improve efficiency, consistency, visibility, and service across locations.
- Monitor assigned opportunities and ordering activity to identify pricing, scope, or delivery risks before they affect the customer or project.
- Build product and technical knowledge through training, manufacturer resources, and collaboration with experienced team members.
- Maintain strong working relationships with outside sales, inside sales, branch associates, project management, vendors, and support teams.
- Communicate customer needs, project changes, risks, and next steps clearly and promptly.
- Maintain high standards for accuracy, customer service, teamwork, ethics, and accountability.
What you bring:
- Bachelor's degree in business or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
- Three or more years of experience with electrical products, gear, lighting, or related project materials preferred.
- Ability to accurately read and interpret electrical blueprints, specifications, and layout documents.
- Understanding of electrical contractor workflows, project-based quotations, and the electrical product supply chain preferred.
- Strong mathematical, analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated attention to detail, follow-through, and ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills and the ability to build productive customer and vendor relationships.
- Comfort working within standardized processes while adapting to regional changes, new tools, and evolving team structures.
- Strong customer service orientation and commitment to professional and ethical conduct.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
