The Northeast Region Gear Quotations Manager leads commercial quotation strategy and project execution across multiple locations. This role is responsible for accurate, timely, and profitable gear quotations while strengthening operational consistency, supporting organizational change, and developing a strong leadership bench. The manager partners closely with quotations, project management, branch leadership, outside sales, customers, vendors, and manufacturers.
We are looking for a leader who will:
- Lead multi-site gear quotation operations across the Northeast Region, aligning teams, processes, service levels, and financial expectations.
- Provide hands-on operational leadership for both commercial activities and project execution, from bid strategy through order handoff and follow-up.
- Develop go-to-market, pricing, and bid strategies that improve competitiveness and project profitability.
- Oversee complex gear quotations to ensure accuracy, responsiveness, complete documentation, and on-time submission.
- Lead organizational change, process standardization, and centralization efforts while maintaining customer and branch support.
- Coach and develop managers, coordinators, and emerging leaders through succession planning, talent reviews, and intentional bench development.
- Build strong partnerships with branch managers, sales teams, project management, customers, vendors, and gear manufacturers.
- Guide product selection, substitutions, special pricing, and resolution of technical or commercial issues on key projects.
- Use financial, operational, and market information to identify risks, improve performance, and support profitable growth.
- Ensure company procedures, safety requirements, ethical standards, and applicable regulations are followed.
What you bring:
- Multi-site leadership experience in electrical distribution, industrial distribution, or another project-based environment.
- Strong operational leadership experience, including ownership of processes, service delivery, financial performance, and execution.
- Experience leading both commercial teams and project execution teams.
- Demonstrated ability to lead organizational change, process standardization, or centralization initiatives.
- Experience with succession planning, talent development, and building a leadership bench is preferred.
- Experience with switchgear, electrical project quotations, electrical plans, contractor workflows, and the product supply chain.
- Ability to develop pricing strategies, negotiate with manufacturers and vendors, and manage complex customer needs.
- Strong analytical, communication, presentation, negotiation, organizational, and follow-up skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Electrical engineering degree or equivalent switchgear manufacturer or electrical distribution experience.
