Overview:

 

Join a dynamic administrative team, that is an essential part of our business. We are seeking a Receptionist in Edmonton, AB. This position is responsible for providing receptionist duties to support the department, along with completing assigned administrative tasks.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Front end reception duties, including greeting visitors, answering phones, filing, incoming/outgoing mail, accounts receivable, ordering supplies, office equipment maintenance (call contractor).
  • Providing Overtime spreadsheets to payroll
  • Processing credits, debits, freight claims.
  • Processing reel returns/ maintenance.
  • Responding to customer service and customer complaints.
  • Preparing outgoing mail and correspondence including e-mail and fax.
  • Creating reports using excel.
  • Preparing expense reports.
  • Organizing conferences/meetings (catering, booking rooms).
  • Preparing promotional packages.
  • Assisting with inventory.
  • Liaising with customers/clients
  • Maintaining printer/photocopier toner cartridges inventory
  • Respond to requests to pull paperwork: Invoices, receiving reports and Etc
  • Processing cash sales/customer payments
  • Obtaining freight rates 

 

Required Qualifications:

 

  • One to three (1-3) years administration experience in a busy office environment is an asset
  • Preferably post-secondary education in Administration or Business Management
  • Must be proficient with MS Office (Excel, Outlook, Word, Powerpoint)
  • Self-motivated with strong administrative and analytical skills
  • Exceptional organizations skills with the ability to effectively multitask
  • Effectively prioritizing tasks
  • Optimizing time effectively
  • Pays attention to detail with high level of accuracy
  • Ability to work with a team and independently
  • Professional phone and email etiquette
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Willingness to learn new initiatives that support the department 

 

Overtime- it will be necessary to work extended hours from time to time in order to fulfill the duties and responsibilities of the position for business needs. The expectation is to work during month ends on a regular basis and to participate in the month end rotation administration schedule. During month end, flexibility with the start and end time will be required for coverage.
