Key Responsibilities:


  • Ensures orders and shipping quantities correspond with documents through careful audit and supporting documents.
  • Assist in resolving any discrepancies.
  • Answers all telephone calls in a courtesy manner, taking messages to direct to the appropriate individual in a timely manner.
  • Ensure that carrier depart with the appropriate paperwork.
  • Identify errors on packing/picking lists and invoices paperwork correctly.
  • Capable of using a warehouse management system (Rubicon/WISL) to prepare accurate bills of lading for outbound freight.
  • Communicates with both external/internal customers.
  • Arranges for movement of freight to consignee & updates the system with information.
  • Gathers and enters data into warehouse management system and maintains this data and records relative to shipping activities.
  • Coordinate with carriers and freight to ensure shipment is scheduled on time for pick-up.
  • Initiates, answers & documents inquiries when requested via email and/or fax.
  • Performs other related duties as required.


Required Qualifications:


  • Moderate computer skills (Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel) and math aptitude.
  • Good organization and communication skills.
  • Able to sit for an extended period of time.
  • Ability to multitask when managing different customer orders and documents
  • Effectively prioritize tasks.
  • Attention to detail when processing paperwork.
  • Previous warehouse experience is preferred but not required.
  • Can work in a team environment or independently.
  • Customer oriented.
  • Forklift certification is preferred.
  • Other tasks assigned, as required.
