Are you a driven and competitive sales professional with a proven track record?  If so, Springfield Electric is looking for you to join our team as an Outside Sales Representative in the Evansville, Indiana region! In this role, you’ll forge lasting business relationships by pursuing opportunities and delivering first-in-class customer service.  You will travel within your territory, meet with current and potential customers, and make a positive impact on your local community while delivering exceptional services and solutions to our valued partners. 

 

Title: Outside Sales Representative

Location: Evansville, Indiana region

Job type: Full time

Schedule: 7:30am - 4:30pm, Monday - Friday

Compensation Plan: Competitive base and Commission Plan (plus perks!!)

 

What You’ll Do: 

  • Client Engagement: Travel within the sales territory to conduct face-to-face meetings with existing and potential customers consistently. 
  • Revenue Growth: Drive revenue by developing new customer relationships and increasing business with existing clients. 
  • Relationship Building: Cultivate and maintain long-lasting relationships with customers within your assigned territory. 
  • Sales Strategy: Develop and implement an effective sales strategy to drive results. 
  • Sales Targets: Continually meet or exceed sales targets by offering company solutions tailored to customer needs. 
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of leads, prospects, customer accounts, and sales. 
  • Market Awareness: Monitor industry competitors and market conditions to understand customer requirements. 
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with team members to build, maintain, and expand brand presence. Engages appropriate team members when appropriate (branch manager, product sales specialists, etc.).

What You Bring:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent related experience within business-to-business outside sales (electrical distribution or distribution experience preferred).
  • Experience: Minimum 3+ years of progressive experience within sales or related industry experience.

Skills: 

  • Willingness to learn electrical products and applications.
  • Developing knowledge of the industrial/commercial/contractor market.
  • Strong consultative and negotiation skills. 
  • Excellent organizational and presentation abilities. 
  • Effective communication and exceptional customer service skills. 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications. 
  • A valid US driver’s license and proven safe driving record.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States without VISA sponsorship now or in the future.
