Summary:

This position’s primary role is to generate and maximize profitable sales in project business for World Electric through planning, organizing and executing projects on-time while managing excellent customer satisfaction.

 

What you’ll do:

  • Total project responsibility following quotations stage, including full management of customer orders, overseeing work to meet on-spec requirements, and, on behalf of the company, resolving all customer or vendor disputes, and supervising proper completion of project documentation.
  • Resolve all disputes associated with issues as they arise throughout the project process. Work with customers, vendors and other World departments to proactively resolve problems.
  • Manage customer orders from time purchase order is secured through final billing, expediting shipments, managing weekly ship schedule processes, placing change orders, returning product, resolving freight claims, and reconciling project billings upon project completion.
  • Responsible for developing and modifying processes to address project needs and customer expectations including, but not limited to, project progress reporting, quality assurance updates, documentation, and change order adjustments. Continually develop and improve processes that enhance the customer experience.
  • For staged projects, manage the DTS process according to customers’ expectations and the project schedule. Work closely with customers and warehouse associates to anticipate and plan for material receipts and deliveries and to resolve problems. This includes receiving and bin locating material in the warehouse.
  • Independently lead project completion, manage internal, external, company customers and third parties, and manage vendor relationships. At completion of project, prepare job recap and conduct meeting with relevant parties to evaluate the whole project and discuss results and opportunities for improvement.
  • Promote fair and honest dealings with suppliers. Manage vendor relationships to benefit World, our customers, and the suppliers.
  • Participate in continuous training and development opportunities to stay current with and increase industry knowledge.
  • Perform other duties as management deem necessary.

 

 

What you need:

  • Two-year certificate/degree from college or technical school; or 3-5 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Advanced project management skills
  • Excellent organizational skills. Able to manage time effectively
  • Strong interpersonal and conflict management skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Solid decision-making skills. Must be able to negotiate and problem-solve
  • Ability to work with flexibility and adaptability to workplace situations/expectations
  • Ability to work well independently and collaboratively across departments
  • Effective Vendor Management skills
