We are Seeking a Security Engineer, Level III will lead the design and implementation of scalable security solutions, mentor team members, and play a key role in our cloud migration and automation initiatives. As a senior technical leader, they will be responsible for shaping the security engineering roadmap, guiding the adoption of modern security practices, and ensuring our infrastructure and applications are protected against evolving threats. This role combines deep technical expertise with leadership and project ownership responsibilities.

 

Core Responsibilities: 

  • Architect, deploy, and manage enterprise security solutions that align with organizational goals and compliance requirements across network, endpoint, and cloud environments.
  • Design and implement cloud security architecture and controls, supporting secure migration and hybrid infrastructure.
  • Provide expert-level technical consulting for internal projects, ensuring alignment with security best practices and compliance requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate security into project planning, architecture reviews, and operational workflows.
  • Represent the security engineering function in cross-departmental initiatives and technical discussions.
  • Contribute to strategic planning and roadmap development for security engineering initiatives.

 

Qualifications:

 

Qualified Applicants Must: 

  • 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity, systems engineering, or a related technical role.
  • Deep expertise in scripting, automation, and infrastructure-as-code.
  • Proven experience with enterprise security tools and cloud security architecture.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and project management skills.
  • Experience with hybrid and cloud environments, particularly Azure.
  • Advanced administration and troubleshooting skills for both Windows and Red Hat operating systems in enterprise environments.
  • Certification: CISSP, or equivalent.
  • Individuals must be authorized to work in the United States for Sonepar without VISA sponsorship now or in the future.
