Director of Modern Workplace, Hamilton, NJ

 

As the Director of Modern Workplace for Sonepar USA and our family of brands, you will lead the strategic planning, administration, and adoption of cutting-edge technology solutions. In this role, you will oversee all Modern Workplace operations and business applications, while continuously evaluating and developing new technical solutions across the organization.  In alignment with the organization’s short- and long-term business strategies, you will collaborate with our operating companies and senior leaders to create and execute the multi-year Modern Workplace roadmap.  To support the organization’s vision and adoption, you will coach, develop, and guide a diverse team of Digital Enterprise professionals aligned to the body of work.

 

What You Will Do:

  • Lead a team of digital enterprise professionals to drive the Modern Workplace improvements across the organization.  These improvements will be achieved by working in alignment with the ever-changing Threat Landscape.
  • Develop and implement the business strategy & deployment activities for on-premises and cloud-based infrastructure, inclusive of scalability, availability, and performance.  
  • Partner across the Digital Enterprise leadership team to identify and deploy innovative technology solutions, delivering cutting edge outcomes for our internal and external customers.
  • Own and drive the results for project delivery (schedule, scope, budget). Project will include M&A activities, vendor management, platform upgrades and data center moves.  

 

What You Bring:

  • 10+ years of functional expertise and leadership experience overseeing a diverse IT Infrastructure team within an organization with multiple business units/decentralized operational model
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related field
  • Strong people development, processes and change management experience
  • Experience overseeing the deployment and support of Microsoft Modern Workplace services within a diverse large-scale environment
  • Mastery of Service Delivery and ITIL principles service desk process
  • Ownership of vendor management relationships for service-related processes
  • Ability to travel up to 30% domestically
  • Authorized to work for Sonepar in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future
