Job Summary

We are currently recruiting for a Solar Energy Sales Specialist to join our growing renewable energy department. In this role, the Solar Energy Sales Specialist will drive the adoption of QED Solar Solutions with our Outside and Inside sales teams, their customers and develop new customers. The ideal candidate will possess comprehensive solar energy knowledge, great communication & organizational skills to help ensure we provide a quality experience.  You will be a critical member of the organization, helping to develop strategy, sales plans, training, and promotions to diversify and grow our business with solar energy products.


Key Responsibilities

  • Drive new solar business to QED by targeting new customers and transitioning them to QED using the necessary digital sales tools, value added services and best-in-class customer service.
  • Assist outside sales representatives with design, take-off, technical support and quotations as needed.
  • Work closely with manufacturers & factory representatives to understand customer requirements, lead times and changes in the solar space. 
  • Responsible for order quoting and entry
  • Manage sold project which includes frequent follow-up & delivery updates for the customer.
  • Help with tactical duties within the solar product line including forecasting, inventory management and product updates.
  • Develop new strategy vision and goals to expand QED’s solar footprint
  • Collaborate with marketing & digital teams to help implement varying strategies & initiatives.
  • Participate in ongoing training to develop and refine solar industry knowledge, other duties as assigned.  


Minimum work experience requirements:

  • 2+ years in the Electrical Distribution or related solar energy industry.
  • Extensive solar product and technical knowledge.
  • 2+ years working in Eclipse or similar ERP system strongly preferred


Compensation:  $79,000 - $97,000 Base + Commission
