About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Project Manager to join our Project Services Team. In this role, you will manage electric utility construction projects in collaboration with utility contractors, EPC firms, and renewable energy developers. You’ll oversee the entire order lifecycle—from project take off plans to project completion and close out—ensuring a seamless and efficient experience for our customers.
This is a dynamic, inside-support role that involves coordinating with internal teams and external partners to resolve project challenges, drive additional services and solutions, and maintain strong customer relationships. Your contributions will directly impact revenue growth and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities

Manage the full order-to-payment cycle for project-based work.

Interpret project requirements during hand-off from estimators.

Prepare proposals for add-on sales and resolve project-related issues.

Maintain warranty documentation and manage claims processes.

Use internal tools to track project progress and ensure timely payments.

Recommend strategies to maximize sales with new and existing clients.

Collaborate with Irby Utility operations and personnel to support project success.

Enter orders on suppliers in the Irby Solar Eclipse ERP system.

Expedite materials from suppliers to meet required on-site dates. This includes an ability to understand when to escalate and order expedite.

Resolve customer order problems and complaints promptly.

Compile project submittal packages.
Minimum Qualifications

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to read and interpret electrical plans, specifications, and drawings.

Creative problem-solving skills with a customer-first mindset.

Proficiency in relevant mathematical functions.

Quick to learn and apply new technologies and tools.

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Strong presentation and negotiation skills.

Team-oriented with a collaborative work style.
Preferred Qualifications
-
3+ years of experience in the utility or distribution industry.

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field—or equivalent experience.

Project Management experience is highly desirable.
