Job Summary 

The Regional Pricing Analyst plays an important role in the development and execution of Irby’s pricing strategies, working collaboratively with the District Manager(s), Branch Manager(s), Corporate Pricing, and sales team by developing comprehensive pricing scenarios, executing selected strategies, and analyzing data to develop continuous improvement toward pricing behaviors to achieve margin goals and objectives. 

 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities 

  • Act as a resource for any pricing needs for assigned territory and assist in training branch managers and sales associates on the pricing structure and logic of our business system. 

  • Provide customer service to internal and external customers while developing and maintaining procedures focused on pricing accuracy and profit maximization. 

  • Monitor customer/branch trends and co-develop pricing strategy improvement plans for specific markets, customers, and sales associates. 

  • Monitor manual pricing changes and recommend actions. 

  • Identify and analyze special pricing agreement variances within specified regions and aid sales teams in vendor negotiations to obtain competitive costs. 

  • Ability to prepare and present pricing analysis findings and actively engage with management and sales teams through regularly scheduled meetings. 

  • Utilize verbal communication skills to create and maintain strong and productive relationships with internal and external parties.  

  • Ability to identify pricing problems within your assigned territory and being able to provide constructive feedback on ways to improve. 

 

Minimum Qualifications 

  • Fundamental understanding of pricing structures and techniques. 

  • High (Intermediate/Advanced) level of proficiency in Microsoft EXCEL and proficiency in Microsoft Power BI. 

  • Must have the ability to set priorities, manage a diversity of job responsibilities with effective organizational skills, and work within deadlines. 

  • Ability to effectively communicate and follow oral and written instructions.  

  • Ability to analyze data and draw sound conclusions as well as ability to formulate and present recommendations and implement methods. 

  • Ability to perform mathematical computations with speed and accuracy. 

  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others. 

 

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or at least four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
