We are hiring a Lead Warehouse Associate to join our team!

What You’ll Do
The Lead Warehouse Associate is responsible for providing strategic direction, leadership, and management to the Logistics Team. This role involves guiding the team towards achieving its goals, ensuring high performance, and fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment. The Lead will act as a key decision-maker, mentor, and communicator, bridging the gap between team members and upper management.
You will:

Coach and train associate in department

Delegate task, resolves conflicts and guide team
-
Communicate with management team regarding performance and recommendations on how to achieve business goals
-
Receiving
-
Read production schedule, customer order, work order, shipping order, packing slips, or requisition to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed.
-
Mark materials with identifying information.
-
Open bales, crates, and other containers.
-
Verify and records amounts of materials or items received or distributed.
-
Drive equipment to transport items within the distribution center.
-
Use the computer to enter records.
-
Compile worksheets or tickets from customer specifications.
-
Put away
-
Sort and place material or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, style, or product code.

Sort and store stock goods in distribution centers.
-
Weigh or count items for distribution within distribution center to ensure conformance to company standards.
-
Picking:
-
Fill requisitions, work orders, or requests for materials, tools, or other stock items and distribute items to customers and sales.

Assemble customer orders from stock and places orders on pallets or shelves or convey orders to packing station or shipping department.
-
Weig or counts items for distribution within distribution center to ensure conformance to company standards.

Compile worksheets or tickets from customer specifications.

Packing:
-
Read production schedule, customer order, work order, shipping order, or requisition to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed.

Verify the product that has been picked and documents discrepancies on an error log and has correct product re-picked.
-
Confirm tickets.
-
Uses computer to enter records.
-
Loading:
-
Consolidate freight for shipping.
-
Loads trucks for delivery to customers.
-
Routing:
-
Facilitation and distribution of shipping tickets
-
Verify shipping method
-
Managing delayed release tickets
-
Communicate oversize loads to freight carriers
-
Inspects and maintains printing equipment
-
Ensure shipping routes are maintained
-
Wire Cutting:
-
Review customer orders and determine the right size reel and right type, size and color of wire needed to complete the order
-
Measure and cut wire using machinery
-
Unload empty reels and reload new reels onto wire machine
-
Restock and replenish wire inventory
-
Follow standard operating procedures and safety regulations
What You’ll Bring
Education and/or Experience:
-
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or
-
1 year or more related experience and/or training; or
-
Equivalent combination of education and experience.
Requirements:
-
Strong math and reading skills
-
Positive commitment to accomplish warehouse/company goals
-
Bilingual (English/Spanish preferred) in South Florida Region
-
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
-
Ability to draft routine reports and correspondence.
-
Working knowledge of Eclipse
-
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
-
Previous forklift/cherry picker experience preferred
-
Basic safety knowledge (i.e., proper lifting techniques, etc.)
Physical Demands:
-
Ability to frequently lift, carry, push, and slide packages that typically weigh up to 75 lbs.
-
Frequently requires standing, walking, bending, climbing, reaching with arms, and constant use of hands.
-
Continuous mental and visual alertness to maintain safety and achieve accuracy.
-
Requires flexibility and mobility in body movements.
-
Occasionally, it may be required to lift items greater than 75 lbs. with assistance.
