Scope of the position:

The Branch Supervisor supports the overall success of the branch by leading day‑to‑day operations and ensuring all activities are completed efficiently and in alignment with company policies and procedures. This role monitors key performance indicators and makes informed operational decisions to help the branch meet its objectives. The Branch Supervisor also contributes to refining branch goals, developing a capable and engaged team, and supporting strong customer relationships.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide day‑to‑day guidance and support to branch staff, ensuring work is completed efficiently and aligned with branch objectives.
  • Ensure all staff receive proper training for their roles and update training as needed.
  • Assist in driving branch sales by supporting the development, coaching, and motivation of the Inside Sales and support teams.
  • Maintain optimal inventory levels by monitoring stock, coordinating replenishment, and ensuring accuracy.
  • Ensure a high standard of customer satisfaction by supporting timely service, addressing concerns promptly, and helping staff deliver a positive customer experience.
  • Build and maintain strong vendor relationships by assisting with communication, coordinating supply needs, and supporting consistent engagement.
  • Assist in operational planning and continuous improvement by identifying needs, contributing ideas, and supporting branch initiatives.
  • Participate in product training and recommend sessions that enhance staff knowledge and development.
  • Assist in maintaining and growing branch business through strong operational support and service excellence.
  • Assist in monitoring sales projections and track progress throughout the fiscal year.
  • Evaluate operational issues and determine appropriate actions or escalate when necessary.
  • Resolve routine personnel matters requiring supervisory attention.
  • Support branch representation within the local and industry community when required.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support overall branch operations.

 

Skills and Qualifications

  • Minimum 5-7 years of management experience, preferable in a Sales/Distribution environment.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office required.
  • Experience working in the electrical industry
  • Must be able to think independently and resourcefully to direct a major operation, activity, or project.
  • Must understand priorities and make decisions based on the short term and long term needs of the company.
  • Proven experience as a strong supervisor (could be up to 15 employees)
  • Must maintain strict confidentiality regarding all information related to individuals within the organization, as well as any material shared at the Management or Executive level.
