Job Summary

The Field Service Technician is responsible for providing on-site services that support process and discrete manufactures operations. Specifically, services related to a customer’s installed hardware/software/network equipment, Storeroom stock and Safety compliance. On-site services include implementation of services/goods, as a standalone or system with respect to the deliverable.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• • Serves all Irby Districts and C&I branches
  • Performs Installed Base Evaluation
    • Assists in Quoting and Delivering Automation, Infrastructure Assessments
      • Empowers fact-based modernization, parts management and conversion strategy conversations with customers
        • Assist local Services team in analyzing any assessed data and developing a path forward for customers
      • Assist local services resources on data gathering for Vendor Managed Inventory and Storeroom Opportunities
  • Arc Flash Data Collection
    • Provides an effective means to evaluate and inform employees on arc flash hazards when exposed to live electrical components
    • Keeps equipment performing as intended by providing equipment setting recommendations and mitigation solutions
    • Assist Customer with evaluating gaps in OSHA Requirements
  • Lockout Tag-Out (LOTO) Audits
    • OSHA requires annual LOTO Audits at industrial and commercial facilities  
    • Remediation of identified deficiencies will drive safety solution sales
      • Will execute LOTO procedure analysis and development.
  • Automation Field Engineering Service-
    • Drive Startup & Configuration
      • Our standard process verifies that the necessary electrical, mechanical, and environmental criteria have been met
      • Deliver in-service warranty and capture drive data to enable remote monitoring and analytics contracts
    • Point Migrations for small capex projects
      • Typically, single or small quantities of units in Nature
      • Opportunities for substantial conversions or migrations of a significant size will be identified, mapped and brought to the Services Team Lead for team review.
    • Trouble Shooting
      • Potentially act as an initial responder to customer needs in troubleshooting automation equipment based on subject matter expertise.
      • Assist District Team Lead in vetting any engagement through reviewing a developed system of questions answered via standardized questionnaire and evaluating with the customer prior to engagement.
      • Refine and update questionnaire while mapping out any additional needs when engaged at customer site.

      • Network Assessments
      • Switch configuration
