Job Summary 

The Regional Water/Wastewater Consultant will develop and nurture new accounts relative to Water Industry, along with select Power/Energy utilities. The primary focus will be on Water/Wastewater industrial projects while developing the sustainability and ESG strategies with activities to win projects. As Environmental, social, and corporate governance (ESG) becomes more of a norm in corporate strategies, you will unlock the practical value-add of Irby Solutions & Services offerings. This person will work with Sales, Services & Automation teams to drive professional fulfillment of services and solutions relative to the WW/WT industry. This person will be the subject matter expert for the Water/WW industry in developing the market plan, bidding on projects (Dodge Reports) and creating an ecosystem of successful partners. You would cultivate a go-to market through Municipalities, Pump Representatives, Contractors, System Integrators, and Engineering firms. This person would be capable of managing and mobilizing other resources to win Water/Wastewater projects.  


Essential Duties & Responsibilities 

  • Lead and actively pursue all achievable Water/Wastewater project using Dodge and IRR reporting practices. 
  • Lead large Water/Wastewater pursuits developing responses and bids, requests for information, and progression of the Irby/Rockwell solution to win. 
  • Develop a strategic account package of Reps, Engineering Firms, System Integrators, and End Users within the scope of Water Accounts, and actively manage towards specification of Rockwell Automation and Irby Services and provide Bidding of projects. 
  • Manage all activities of projects and pursuits in Dynamics CRM 
  • Building and engaging other domain experts and Sellers as team members to the focus industry. 
  • Develop relationships of key decision makers at GC’s and AE’s to influence specification around user preferences. It will be essential to understand customer outcomes and adjust your strategy with action. 
  • Provide Industry insights, competency, and collaborate often to your surrounding ecosystem of peers and customers. 
  • Where possible, lead the industry by participating in forums, abstracts, papers, and hold necessary certifications. Essentially, gain your companies access to the industry successes. 
  • Create and maintain a comprehensive contact list of partners & customers. 
  • Report to your VP of Automation & Services on wins, project progress, and market activities. 
  • Document successes. 


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities 

  • Ability to communicate effectively with different groups, individuals, and executives. 
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information.  
  • Knowledge of electrical products, industrial automation, and application.  
  • Skill in public speaking and presenting information to large groups. 


Minimum Qualifications 

  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Power BI, Teams) and other various software. 
  • Experience with reporting and analytical data analysis 


Preferred Qualifications 

  • Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year College or university; or three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. 
  • Solid knowledge of DCS/Control Systems, and its market level pricing for Water/Wastewater systems.
