Job Summary

The Vice President of Automation & Services role is required to lead Crawford Electric Supply’s Rockwell Automation Industrial Solutions & Services business, with Strategy, Enablement of people, and processes, such that Rockwell Automation Appointment tenants are upheld. This person must lead within a matrixed organization of Leadership, Sales, Specialists, Operations, Marketing, and Finances. This person must collaborate well with all internal and external leadership, including Rockwell Automation Senior, Mid Management, and field leadership. You must demonstrate a track record of progressional integrity are centric with your leading behaviors.  This role reports to the President of Crawford Electric Supply head quartered in Houston Tx.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Create, Communicate, and Execute on a Rockwell Automation go to market plan “annually” that drives Sales, Marketing, and Specialists discipline around (Events, Programs, New Product Introductions, Competency of individuals, and annual revenue plans)
  • Annual planning of Crawford Electric and Rockwell Automation key metrics.
  • System Integrator and OEM go to market planning/execution.
  • Leader of Large Project engagement. Leader of EPC relationships. Leader of Sales pursuit models.
  • Process Automation plan including Process SI market echo system.
  • Information Software and other Rockwell strategic initiative metrics and planning.
  • Daily, Weekly, consistent communications Specialists (the premier go to market strategy of domain expertise in the industry). Provide and drive inclusive culture with enablement.
  • Maintain and improve collaborative environment for Specialists to learn, share, create, courageously pursue new business, while operating in a peer mentality of professionalism.
  • Improve culture of performance within Specialist community by maintaining Monthly Specialist collaboration with execution of programs, events, campaigns, while reporting intelligence for Rockwell Automation QBR reviews.
  • Lead teams to perform Quarterly Business Reviews for Rockwell Automation.
  • Lead and collaborate on hiring best talent for Specialist and Operational segments of the business.
  • Constantly maintain and improve Rockwell business segment growth by hiring the best leaders with functional knowledge of Rockwell Services.
  • Knowledge of Industrial Automation market for purpose of strategy and expansion activities.
  • Lead customer loyalty surveys for the purpose of creating loyal customers, acting on improvement processes.  
  • Be involved in pricing add’s, attending all Rockwell Automation Global Revenue Management calls. Respond and plan internally with regards to price increases and price strategy.
  • Work with people, processes, and Operations to eliminate waste, mismatched Point of Sales data, and ensure integrity in the reporting of Rockwell Automation required data.
  • Meets with key clients, assisting sales representatives with maintaining relationships, delivering sales presentation, and negotiating and closing deals.
  • Assist the RVP’s and Area Managers in preparing periodic technical sales reports showing sales volume, potential sales, and areas of proposed client base expansion.
  • Know your competitors and position Specialists knowledge and competency to overcome situations.

 

Minimum Qualifications

  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret financial reports, general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, legal documents or governmental regulations.
  • Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. 
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to effectively present information to top management and speak effectively before groups of customers, vendors or employees.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, and percentages; compute rate, ratio, and draw and interpret graphs.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions in order to solve practical problems where only limited information and standardization exists.
  • Ability to interpret an extensive variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelors degree, Electrical, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering, or equivalent.
