Job Summary

We are looking for a Wire Aisle Supervisor to manage, direct, and coordinate the activities of workers for wire and cable related shipping, receiving, and wire sales orders. This Supervisor will ensure standardized operation of wire cutting machinery and equipment to maintain a consistent workflow and on-time deliveries. We want you to join our team!

 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

    • Achieve high levels of customer satisfaction through excellence in receiving, identifying, dispatching, and assuring quality of wire and cable customer orders and deliveries.
    • Coordinates daily activity and assignments of team; completes related documentation.
    • Monitors performance, mentors and provides training to personnel.
    • Creates and maintains a positive and engaged working department that values safety, improvement, participation, quality, and achieving goals
    • Assures production-readiness of all equipment to maintain wire operational efficiency.
    • Promotes safety consciousness, establishing an orderly wire work area and by performing routine safety audits.
    • Organize and maintain wire inventory and storage area.
    • Ensure wire shipments’ and inventory transactions’ accuracy.
    • Communicate job expectations and coach employees.
    • Interface with customers to answer questions or solve problems.
    • Maintain items record, document necessary information, and utilize reports to project shipping statuses, deliveries, and accurate wire orders.
    • Converse and coordinate activities with other departments.

 

Minimum Qualifications

    • Established expertise within the distribution of wire & cable.
    • Highly efficient supervisory techniques and skills.
    • Understanding of warehouse software application packages and Microsoft Office proficiency.
    • Knowledge of conventional management and warehousing fundamentals.
    • Ability to retrieve, analyze, and input data.
    • Hands-on dedication to staff training and championing new ideas.
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
    • Strong organizational and time management skills.
    • Proven experience in coordinating and directing operations.

Preferred Qualifications

    • Four to five years related experience and/or training with one year of supervisory experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Physical Demands

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand.  The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment

  • Typical environments include offices, light industrial, commercial, utility and manufacturing.  The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
