The Lighting Project Manager is responsible for the overall productivity of the Codale Lighting Team. This position will also be responsible for the timely and accurate preparations and dissemination of project designs, led retrofits, lighting & controls audits, energy incentives, and their submissions to utilities and inventory recommendations. Supports sales with technical and design assistance.
Job Responsibilities:
- Manage the performance of the Lighting Project Team staff.
- Hire and train Project Team associates in the various aspects of their job, manage and determine goals for their development to ensure alignment with corporate goals.
- Responsible for creating annual budgets and meeting those budgets. Responsible for managing and determining department goals at a three-year planning level.
- Direct the team’s growth in existing markets and expand into new markets. Develop and implement new customer-valued services. Responsible for improving processes that will maximize productivity and market growth.
- Assist with maintaining the appropriate product pricing structure and training of our sales force to maximize profit with pricing. Evaluate profit structure on lighting projects.
- Support sales with technical assistance as requested by their customers, promote and coordinate sales efforts with other departments.
- Support sales with design-build projects.
- Establish product stock plans that benefit projects.
- Establish marketing programs to increase the image of Codale to our customers.
- Support our customers in the territory with technical assistance. Maintain and develop new relationships.
- Train our sales teams, counter sales, and customers on LED Lighting & Controls. Promote our inventoried products, new ideas and technologies in lighting.
Requirements:
- Demonstrated leadership and selling skills and the ability to work independently.
- Good understanding of the market, competitors, products and services.
- Strong math aptitude, strong organizational, time management and people skills.
- Strong verbal & written communication.
- Computer/technology skills necessary for completing project sales work.
Required Experience
- Minimum five years of sales experience, in the electrical wholesale business, as a lighting representative or as a lighting manufacturer.
- Prior management experience preferred.
- Experience with key customers and large project business preferred.
Additional Requirements:
- Must have a valid driver’s license
- Travel Required
- Willingness to work additional hours as needed to meet deadlines and commitments.
