Lumen is an electrical equipment distributor with an ultra-modern automated distribution center and a dynamic company that invests in the employee’s development.


Reporting to the Director of the Main Analyst, Planning, Financial and Operational Analysis, the Financial Analyst is responsible for various financial and operational analysis in accordance with established requirements and procedures. The Financial Analyst is also involved in the budget process and variance analysis.

 

You are: a good communicator., resourceful, organized, detail oriented, analytical and a team player.

 

You have:

  • A Bachelor's degree in business administration, accounting option;
  • A Professional title in accounting (CPA) (or in progress);
  • A minimum of 7 years of experience in a similar position, preferably in a retail or distribution business;
  • Good ability to analyze and synthesize results and issues;
  • Excellent sense of organization and resourcefulness;
  • Attention to detail, curiosity and ability to work conscientiously and consistently;
  • Ability to work closely and communicate effectively with colleagues and various groups;
  • Good knowledge of IFRS rules;
  • Spoken and written bilingualism (French and English);
  • Superior computer skills including Office suite, Excel, Power BI and ERP.

 

You will :

  • Prepare monthly results analysis for operations and compare them to forecasts and budget. Therefore, explain the deviations and suggest recommendations for corrective measures to be taken;
  • Collaborate with your superior in the identification and implementation of key indicators dashboards;
  • Attend meetings with operations to review financial results;
  • Prepare various analysis and ad hoc presentations for your superior and for management;
  • Participate in the annual budget preparation process, including the consolidation and analysis of budgets, as well as the preparation of reports and management presentations;
  • Collaborate with his superior in the preparation of financial analysis of balance sheet items;
  • Collaborate in the implementation and revision of internal control policies and ensure their compliance;
  • Collaborate on internal and external audit;
  • Participate in the continuous improvement process of its service by suggesting and implementing improvements;
  • All other related tasks.
