PM Yard Lead

Summary

Performs warehouse duties related to receiving, storing, picking, packing, shipping, and inventory control. Provides guidance and training to warehouse associates while supporting safe, accurate, and efficient operations.

Essential Functions

• Load, unload, move, store, and ship materials and products.
• Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment.
• Receive and inspect incoming shipments and complete required documentation.
• Operate forklifts, hoists, and other material handling equipment safely.
• Maintain product organization and inventory accuracy.
• Count, weigh, and verify materials against orders, invoices, and shipping documents.
• Assist with hazardous material handling and documentation requirements.
• Provide training and guidance to warehouse associates.
• Assist with stock replenishment and communicate low inventory levels.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
  
  

Qualifications and Education Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• 2-4 years of related warehouse experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Current Forklift Operation Certification required.
• Working knowledge of QED computer systems, Microsoft Office, Eclipse, or related systems.
• Must be a team player and uphold QED's core values.

Knowledge, Skills and/or Abilities Required 

Through previous background and experience, the candidate must be able to demonstrate, with or without an accommodation: 

• Knowledge of automated or computerized system operation. 

• Knowledge of record keeping practices. 

• Knowledge of safety practices, and wears PPE as assigned. 

• Skill in lifting heavy packages and objects. 

• Skill in operating wire and cable cutting equipment, reels, machines, and cable cutters. 

• Skill in operating forklift or other material handling equipment. 

• Skill in operating large vehicles in tight and congested areas. 

• Ability to effectively communicate.  

• Skill in using various hand tools used in preparing, reeling, and cutting wire and cable, i.e. hammers, nails, ropes, tape, plastic and cable termination seals. 

• Must be forklift certified. 

• Knowledge of cargo securement techniques, chains, binders, straps, ropes, knots, plastic wrap and cargo dunnage used.  

• Strong mathematical skills to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, including fractions and decimals.
