Maintenance Technician
Location: Milwaukee, Wisconsin
Job type: Full time
Schedule: 6:00am-2:30pm, Monday-Friday
Hourly pay: $25.50-$28.50/hr (Pay for Experience)
**Compensation for this position includes hourly salary, short-term incentive bonus, and full benefits package offerings. The exact amount of base salary may vary based on experience and skills brought to the role.
What You’ll Do
As a maintenance technician, you will perform general repairs and proactive maintenance of the facility and its applicable equipment. You will maintain appropriate logs and inspection sheets of the work or inspection performed.
You will…
- Perform and document weekly inspections of operational fulfillment equipment to include but not limited to, stock chasers, forklifts, pallet jacks, conveyor systems, wire machines and other equipment as necessary.
- Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on assigned facility equipment to include but not limited to conveyor systems, battery charging stations, stock chasers, wire pulling equipment, compactors, exhaust fans, etc.
- Perform daily facility inspections to identify maintenance deficiencies and preventative maintenance tasks. Identified repairs that are within qualifications should be made, those that fall outside qualification should be coordinated with a 3rd party for repair.
- Adhere to all safety procedures and regulations.
- Lead monthly safety and compliance inspections to ensure facility is in standing order with corporate and OSHA safety standards.
- Assist in facility custodial tasks as necessary or assigned.
What You Bring
Requirements:
- Four years machine maintenance and repair work experience, knowledge of power equipment, basic forklift, and power equipment skills.
- Ability to lift 75 lbs.
- Basic math skills (add and subtract numbers)
- Basic English communication skills
- Vocational/Technical schooling in facility maintenance or applicable work experience.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States without VISA sponsorship now or in the future
Preferred, but not required:
- Electrician license with a Commercial Industrial focus, HVAC Certifications, applicable mechanical repair certifications.
