Schedule: Monday-Friday

Outside Sales 

  

Summary: 

This position sells products to residential or commercial contractors in the Atlanta area.  In addition to servicing current customers, this person would develop new and existing accounts in the area. 

  

Our ideal candidate is customer focused and enjoys interacting with customers on a regular basis to provide solutions to their needs while building relationships.  As well as being very detailed focus.  Our goal is to provide outstanding service to our customers by providing accurate quotes, orders and general information.  

  

What you’ll do: 

  • Establishes or improves relationships with customers to better understand sales territory, and customer needs by phone, email, and customer visits 

  • Visit customers on a regular basis 

  • Compiles lists of prospective customers for use as sales leads, based on information from newspapers, business directories, industry ads, trade shows, Internet Web sites, and other sources 

  • Travels throughout assigned territory to call on regular and prospective customers to solicit orders, or talks with customers on sales floor or by phone 

  • Processes orders from customers in sales, using all required company policies, procedures and systems 

  • Provides quotations or estimates of prices, terms, delivery, credit terms and prepare sales contracts for orders obtained 

  • Estimates date of delivery to customer, based on knowledge of own firm's production and delivery schedules 

  • Develops relationships with key vendors in assigned markets 

  • Promotes and features key vendor products through joint sales calls and promotions 

  • Prepares reports of business transactions and keeps expense accounts 

  • Works with inside sales representatives and local management to keep account activities up to date 

  • Coordinates customer training 

  

What you need: 

  • Industry experience– lighting and gear is our preferred experience 

  • Previous sales experience required 

  • High energy individual with the ability to work with a wide range of personalities 

  • Ability to adapt to a fast pace changing environment and to approach challenges with creativity and resourcefulness 

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills 

  • Initiative and self-direction; can apply knowledge and make sound judgment to effectively resolve issues
