How will you shape our tomorrow

Reporting to the Group Holding Entities Accounting Director, the Group Holding Entities Accounting Manager is responsible for the accounting, tax compliance, and financial reporting of the Group’s main holding and service companies.

The role ensures the reliability of financial statements, compliance with legal and tax obligations, and the effectiveness of related financial processes.

The position manages a dedicated accounting team and actively contributes to continuous process improvement, operational simplification, and Finance transformation initiatives. Situated at the heart of the Group Finance function, the role offers significant exposure to the challenges of a multinational organization.

Key Responsibilities

Team Management

  • Lead and develop a team comprising a General Accountant and an Accounts Payable Accountant.
  • Organize priorities, allocate workload, and ensure timely delivery of key deadlines.
  • Develop team capabilities and promote cross-functional skills.
  • Foster a culture of quality, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure business continuity within the team.

Accounting and Financial Close

  • Oversee all accounting activities for entities within the scope.
  • Ensure the accuracy of accounts, prepare statutory financial statements, and coordinate account review activities.
  • Prepare financial documentation and closing files for internal and external auditors.
  • Ensure proper invoicing and accounting treatment of intercompany transactions.
  • Monitor intercompany agreements and maintain related documentation.

Financial Reporting

  • Prepare statutory financial statements for the entities within the scope.
  • Produce consolidation packages and Group reporting deliverables.
  • Ensure the quality, consistency, and completeness of reported data.
  • Act as the operational liaison with the Group Consolidation teams.

Tax and Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with all tax and statutory filing obligations for entities within the scope.
  • Participate in tax audits and respond to requests from relevant authorities.
  • Contribute to the management of tax audits and relationships with tax authorities.
  • Maintain appropriate documentation supporting current tax positions.

Internal Control and Audit

  • Ensure compliance with Group policies, procedures, and internal control requirements.
  • Maintain adequate documentation of accounting processes.
  • Coordinate the preparation of statutory audits.
  • Follow up on audit recommendations within the scope of responsibility.

Continuous Improvement and Transformation

  • Identify and implement opportunities for simplification and automation.
  • Improve the efficiency of close, reporting, and accounts payable processes.
  • Contribute to Finance transformation projects and the evolution of information systems.
  • Develop and monitor key performance indicators for accounting activities.

 

 

The experience you bring

 

Education

  • Advanced degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
  • French Chartered Accountant qualification (Diplôme d’Expertise Comptable - DEC) strongly preferred.

 

Experience

  • 7 years of experience minimum in accounting, audit, or finance leadership roles.
  • Significant experience gained within a public accounting/audit firm, complemented by experience in a corporate environment.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing and developing teams.
  • Strong expertise in statutory financial close processes and common corporate tax matters.

 

Technical Skills :

  • Strong technical expertise in French accounting standards.
  • Good knowledge of IFRS principles.
  • Strong understanding of financial closing and reporting processes.
  • Solid internal control mindset and commitment to data quality.
  • Good knowledge of tax regulations and mechanisms applicable to holding companies.
  • Interest in financial reporting and consolidation within an international group environment.
  • Ability to structure, simplify, and improve processes.
  • Strong team spirit, attention to detail, and customer-service orientation.

 

Languages

  • Fluent French.
  • Professional level of English, enabling effective written and verbal communication in an international environment. (The role is primarily conducted in French on a day-to-day basis.)
