Cybersecurity is a business enabler of Sonepar transformation, ensuring trust, resilience, and regulatory compliance across platforms, data, and AI initiatives.
Sonepar is seeking a strategic and visionary Cybersecurity Director for the Digital Platform, Integration, Data & AI scope, reporting directly to the SVP Cybersecurity & Infrastructure.
The role acts as cybersecurity officer, trusted advisor, and business partner for Sonepar’s most critical global digital platforms, ensuring that cyber risk is actively managed while enabling innovation, scale, and speed.
This position manages cyber risk for platforms supporting Sonepar’s digital transformation and AI ambitions, operating at the intersection of technology, data, governance, and business outcomes.
The remit covers global, business‑critical platforms, including:
- Omnichannel customer and associate sales digital platform (SPARK)
- Sonepar Data Platform
- Sonepar Integration Layer
- Sonepar AI Platform
Key Responsibilities
1. Cybersecurity Strategy & Risk Ownership
- Propose to the SVPs the cybersecurity strategy for Digital Platform, Data & AI in alignment with Group strategy and risk appetite.
- Identify, assess, and prioritize strategic and emerging risks, including AI‑specific, data protection, and platform concentration risks.
- Ensure continuous risk monitoring, mitigation planning, and executive‑level reporting.
2. Governance, Controls & Compliance
- Adapt Group cybersecurity policies, standards, and procedures to Digital Platform, Data & AI scopes.
- Define and deploy security control frameworks, audit requirements, and assurance models.
- Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory frameworks and internal governance expectations.
- Represent Information Security in key governance bodies, steering committees, and transformation programs.
3. Business Partnership & Enablement
- Act as a trusted cybersecurity advisor for Digital Factory, integration, data, and AI teams.
- Engage early in product and platform roadmaps to anticipate and address cybersecurity challenges.
- Translate cyber risks into business‑relevant language, enabling informed decision‑making by executives and product owners.
- Ensure Secure & Responsible AI by design, embedding security, data protection, and resilience controls across AI model development, training, deployment, and operations.
4. Operational Effectiveness & Continuous Improvement
- Leverage global cybersecurity services and capabilities to cover the scope efficiently and consistently.
- Define meaningful KPIs and dashboards for executive management and risk committees.
- Drive continuous improvement to industrialize risk capture, consolidation, and reporting for decision support.
5. Awareness, Culture & Representation
- Sponsor and support targeted security awareness programs related to data, platforms, and AI.
- Act as the cybersecurity reference for this scope within cross‑functional working groups.
- Promote a risk‑aware and innovation‑friendly security culture across global teams.
The experience you bring
- Education: You hold some of these certifications: ISO27001 Auditor, CISSP, CISM, CISA, CRISC, or CGEIT
- Knowledge & Experience
- Experience in using frameworks like NIST CSF, NIST 800-53, ISO 27002 and ISO 27005
- Minimum 5 years in a cybersecurity officer or equivalent senior role
- Solid understanding of AI models, data platforms, and modern development practices
- Experience working closely with developers, data analysts, and data scientists
- Strong experience in information security governance, risk management, and strategic planning

- Fluent in English, fluent in French, oral and written, with impeccable Executive presentation
- Strong presentation skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills – capable to act as a leader but also act as a team player to promote the value of security with internal and external senior executives.
- Capable of efficiently managing both direct and indirect employees.
- Strong communication and facilitation skills, with a clear ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels and explain complex matters in understandable form to general business professionals.
- Proven problem-solving skills and the ability to identify, analyze, and resolve issues, driving solutions through to completion.
- Strong work ethic, professional integrity and the ability to handle confidential matters in a professional manner, applying the appropriate level of judgement and maturity.

Work Mode & Location
- Hybrid: 3 days in Paris (8ème) after the trial period
