At Group level, our Sonepar Digital organization drives IT strategy and transformation worldwide. We take responsibility for Group IT activities, supporting a vast and decentralized network of IT teams across regions and operating companies.

About the Role:

We are looking for a motivated, curious, and structured intern to join the Group Enterprise Architecture team within Sonepar Digital.

You will support the Senior Vice President, Enterprise Applications & Architecture, in coordinating global initiatives that connect our 1,500+ IT professionals worldwide, strengthen governance, and improve portfolio visibility.

This internship offers a unique opportunity to experience how a large, global organization manages IT in an extremely decentralized and distributed operating model, working closely with colleagues from:

  • Sonepar Digital (Group IT)
  • Regional IT organizations (Americas, Europe, APAC)
  • Local IT teams across 40 countries

You will help connect, engage, and align people and activities across this network — playing a key role in fostering collaboration and clarity within our global IT community.

🎯 Your Missions:

Community & Engagement

  • Animate the global Sonepar IT community: support communication, events, and engagement activities.
  • Contribute to newsletters, community updates, and storytelling to increase visibility of global initiatives.
  • Help connect and engage IT professionals across countries and functions.

Application & Portfolio Management

  • Contribute to the review and structuring of Sonepar’s global application portfolio in collaboration with local IT teams (1,500+ applications across 40 countries).
  • Support documentation, reporting, and continuous improvement of the application landscape.

Project & Demand Management Support

  • Assist in defining and formalizing project and demand management processes at Group level.
  • Help align regional and local initiatives to global priorities.

Strategic & Analytical Support

  • Provide analytical and organizational support to the SVP Enterprise Applications & Architecture on key initiatives, workshops, and reporting.
  • Support ad-hoc requests — activities may evolve based on ongoing priorities and opportunities within the Digital team.

Skills: The Toolbox You Bring

  • Master’s student in Engineering, Business, or IT Management (Grande École, university, or equivalent).
  • You have a perfect command of French and English, both spoken and written.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Comfortable working with Microsoft 365 tools, Power BI, and collaboration platforms.
  • Interest in digital transformation, IT governance, or enterprise architecture.
  • Agile mindset — able to adapt, engage with diverse teams, and operate in a highly decentralized context.
  • Can-do attitude: proactive, curious, creative, and delivery-oriented.
  • Enjoys connecting people and simplifying complex topics.
