How will you shape our tomorrow

As a Procurement Manager, you will be responsible for leading the sourcing, negotiation and acquisition of IT/Digital products and services and managing the vendors and contracts across the entire lifecycle. You will ensure cost-effective purchasing while maintaining compliance with internal policies and external regulations.

The position requires close collaboration with the business & architects on Group level (IT/Cyber/Digital), on regional level (CIOs, regional purchasing…) and the support function teams (legal, finance, HR).

 

Key responsibilities

  • Procurement Strategy & Sourcing
    • Develop and implement IT/Digital procurement strategies aligned with the group’s technology roadmap.
    • Conduct market analysis and supplier benchmarking to inform procurement decisions.
    • Manage end-to-end procurement processes for hardware, software, cloud services, and consulting. Ensure purchases are compatible with existing systems.
    • Ensure timely and cost-effective acquisition of IT/Digital assets and services.
    • Closely monitor upgrades, replacement, and decommissioning needs.
    • Define price adjustments/revision standards and strategies to be included in contracts
    • Ensure compliance with the Group’s sourcing and business partners’ requirements (compliance, CSR, etc.)

 

  • Vendor & Contract Management
    • Identify, evaluate, and manage relationships with IT/Digital vendors and service providers.
    • Organize and lead contract negotiations, renewals, and performance reviews.
    • Draft, review, and negotiate IT contracts, including SLAs, licensing agreements, NDAs, RFIs and RFPs.
    • Build on Sonepar’s legal templates and minimum legal requirements to foster Sonepar’s position and ensure consistency and coherent protection for Sonepar

 

  • Budget & Cost Control
    • Monitor IT/Digital procurement budgets and identify cost-saving opportunities.
    • Track and report on procurement KPIs and spend analysis. Conduct regular audit & feedback loops.
    • Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and cybersecurity requirements.
    •  Identify and mitigate risks related to IT vendor relationship and technology procurement.

 

  • Stakeholder Collaboration
    • Work closely with IT/Digital, finance, and legal teams to align procurement with business needs.
    • Support project managers in sourcing IT solutions for strategic initiatives.
    • Provide regular training to business teams on procurement/contract management/compliance guidelines

  • Vendor Ecosystem Excellence: You’ve built and maintained strong, compliant, and performance-driven relationships with key IT vendors, ensuring optimal service levels, innovation, and risk mitigation.
  • Contractual Strength & Compliance: You’ve negotiated contracts that protect Sonepar’s interests, meet legal and cybersecurity standards, and are consistent across regions and business units.
  • Cross-Functional Impact: You’re recognized as a trusted partner by IT, Finance, Legal, and HR teams, enabling smooth collaboration and supporting strategic initiatives with agile procurement solutions.
  • Operational Efficiency: You’ve streamlined procurement processes, reduced lead times, and improved visibility through effective use of digital tools and data analytics.
  • Governance & Risk Control: You’ve ensured full compliance with internal policies and external regulations, with no audit findings or procurement-related incidents.
  • Knowledge Sharing & Enablement: You’ve empowered business teams through training and guidance, fostering a culture of procurement awareness and contract management excellence.

 

The experience you bring

  • Master’s degree in Business, IT, Supply Chain, or related field (Certifications like CIPS, CPSM or CSCP are a plus).
  • Min. 5–8 years of experience in IT procurement, preferably in a corporate or multinational environment.
  • Strong knowledge of IT categories (hardware, software, SaaS, cloud, telecom).
  • Experience managing RFP/RFI processes and vendor selection for software, hardware, cloud services, and digital platforms.
  • Understanding of licensing models, SLAs, and compliance requirements (e.g., GDPR, ISO 27001).
  • Skilled in vendor relationship management, contract negotiation, and supplier performance management.
  • Ability to manage global suppliers and navigate multi-country procurement regulations.
  • Strong analytical skills to assess total cost of ownership (TCO), ROI, and vendor risk.
  • Experience with procurement systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Coupa) and data analytics tools (e.g., Power BI) is a plus.
  • Fluent in French & English (written and spoken).
