Joining the Digital Factory’s E-Commerce team means becoming part of a team at the heart of the digital transformation of a global leader in electrical equipment distribution. Our e-commerce platform is used by thousands of customers every day, and its adoption continues to grow thanks to an ambitious roadmap of improvements, new user journeys, and international rollouts.

 

As a Proxy Product Owner – E-Commerce Apprentice, you will play a key role in the product’s evolution. Working alongside the Product Owner, you will help manage the backlog, prioritize feature development, track issues, and update documentation and release notes. You will collaborate daily with the development, QA, and design teams, as well as business stakeholders, to ensure features are properly prepared and sprints run smoothly.

 

Our application is an omnichannel B2B product, seamlessly integrated into Sonepar’s digital ecosystem. It supports our clients, whether small businesses or large industrial groups, in an international environment by offering them an innovative, seamless, and efficient mobile experience.

 

Your responsibilities:

  • Support the Product Owner in their daily tasks
  • Help ensure User Stories are complete: collaborate with the Agile Product Team (Developers, QA, and other feature teams) to ensure that User Stories are complete, understood, properly prioritized, and ready for implementation.
  • Maintain clear and up-to-date documentation: prepare and update release notes as well as the necessary communication materials to effectively inform stakeholders of product updates.
  • Update release notes: ensure that delivered features are clearly communicated to stakeholders.
  • Manage and prioritize issues: classify, sort, and assign bugs appropriately to maintain a high level of product quality and ensure smooth Sprint execution.

 

Your profile:

  • You are pursuing a master’s degree (at an engineering school, business school, or university) with a specialization in digital technology, computer science, product management, or project management.
  • You have a strong interest in Product Ownership, e-commerce, and digital product management.
  • You understand the key concepts of a product environment: backlog, user stories, prioritization, bugs, and KPIs.
  • You are comfortable with structured topics and know how to analyze, organize, and clarify complex information.
  • A technical understanding of digital environments (data models, KPI logic, SQL databases, UX concepts) is a definite plus.
  • You are proficient in office software and product tools (Jira and Confluence).
  • You have a good command of written and spoken English, used daily in an international context.
