Sonepar USA is looking for a strategic communicator who can do more than create content. We're seeking a Content Strategist, Corporate Communications who understands how to connect business priorities with audience needs through thoughtful messaging, compelling storytelling, and multi-channel content strategies.

This is a unique opportunity to join a lean, collaborative communications team where you'll have the autonomy to identify stories, build messaging frameworks, develop content plans, and create the content yourself. You'll help shape how internal and external audiences experience our brand through social media, thought leadership, internal communications, web content, media relations, and corporate storytelling.

What You'll Do
 

Develop and Execute Content Strategy

 

  • Partner with communications leadership to build and execute content strategies aligned with business priorities and thought leadership initiatives.
  • Create messaging frameworks and editorial plans that support audience engagement and business goals.
  • Develop content that increases visibility across modern search experiences, including AI-driven search environments.

 

Lead Social Media Strategy and Content Creation

 

  • Develop and maintain social media strategies aligned with company objectives.
  • Create engaging content including copy, graphics, and short-form video.
  • Monitor performance metrics and recommend improvements based on audience engagement and results.

 

Tell Internal and External Stories

 

  • Partner with stakeholders across HR, Legal, IT, business functions, and subject matter experts to uncover and develop impactful stories.
  • Create internal communications, executive communications, thought leadership content, articles, blogs, newsletters, and web content.
  • Translate complex topics into clear, audience-focused messages.

 

Support Media Relations

 

  • Identify newsworthy stories and media opportunities.
  • Draft press releases and support media outreach efforts.
  • Help strengthen Sonepar's reputation through strategic external communications.

 

What We're Looking For

 

Required Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Journalism, or a related field.
  • Approximately 3-5 years of experience in communications, content strategy, marketing, or public relations.
  • Experience creating content across multiple channels, including social media, websites, blogs, internal communications, and thought leadership content.
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills.
  • Ability to tailor messaging to different audiences and communication channels.
  • Experience managing multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.

 

Preferred Qualifications

 

  • Agency experience in communications, marketing, or public relations.
  • Experience supporting executive communications or ghostwriting.
  • Media relations experience.
  • Familiarity with audience segmentation and messaging strategy.
  • Experience utilizing analytics and performance reporting to guide communication decisions.
  • Basic video editing and social content creation experience.
