As the Manager of Corporate Accounting and Finance, you will be responsible for the completeness and accuracy of the Sonepar Management Group (SMG) financial statements, SMG departments' forecasting and budgeting processes. You will work with the SMG leaders to drive fiscal accountability within their departments and meet regular to align on budget and forcasting.  You will partner across a collaborative team to leverage your leadership, expertise and experience to implement continuous process improvements and standard operating procedures to gain aligment within our departments and operating companies.

 

What You Will Do

 

  • Monthly Close: Perform journal entries, account reconciliations, and analysis of actuals to budget/forecast variances. 
  • Forecasting/Budgeting: Prepare the Sonepar Management Group (SMG) budget and forecasts, manage P&L, and conduct ROI analysis. 
  • Ad Hoc Corporate Accounting Projects: Identify ways to standardize and drive efficiencies in accounting and finance practices. 

 

 

What You Bring:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or related field; CPA preferred
  • 5+ years of experience across corporate accounting within a private or public organization
  • Experience working across ERP systems
  • Experience leading a small team of direct and indirect reports while thriving in a hands-on environment
  • Strong MS Excel and Offie Suite knowledge and experience
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking abilities 
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills 
  • Strong interpersonal skills 
  • Must be authorized to work for Sonepar in the United States without sponsorship
  • Comfortable working in downtown Philadelphia on a regular basis
