JOB PURPOSE:
To Lead, Direct, Support, and Create a strategy for Independent Electric’s initiative to grow Sales into the Renewable Market including all Residential, Commercial, Industrial Solar, and Wind opportunities, EV Charging, and Energy Storage for the entire Independent Electric organization.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Drive Sales throughout all Regions and Branches for all Renewable Energy Solutions.
- Manage all Vendor Relations related to Renewable Energy
- Responsible for Renewable Energy P&L and Segment profitability.
- Work directly with Executive Leadership and Regional/Branch Managers to promote Independent Electrics growth and profitability initiatives.
- Manage and Direct all Renewable Energy Outside Sales Specialists.
- Drive recommendations and the planning around stock support and promotion of selected key products and vendors
- Coordinate customer and associate training events to inform and educate them on available solutions.
- Support Sonepar National Account strategy
- Collaborate with Independent Electric’s Credit Team and support the company’s credit risk management philosophy.
- Engage with Independent Electric’s Marketing Team to promote and expand market penetration and growth.
- Direct and Lead the Renewable product Purchasing strategies.
- Responsible for Renewable Energy’s Inventory health and Turn KPI’s.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Renewable Sales Specialists
- Renewable Purchasing Specialists
- Renewable Sales support Specialists
JOB REQUIREMENTS
EDUCATION: Four Year Degree is preferred but not required.
LEVEL OF EXPERIENCE NEEDED:
- Must be able to demonstrate a complete and full understanding of the Renewable Energy market.
- Complete understanding of the targeted Customer Base.
- Complete understanding of the Vendor Community
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:
- 5 Years actively participating in the Renewable Energy Market space.
SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:
- Exceptional Team Leadership skills are required.
- Exceptional Verbal and Writing Communication Skills are required.
- Time Management Skills are required.
- Must be well organized and able to multi-Task
LICENSES AND PROFESSIONAL CERTIFICATIONS:
TRAVEL REQUIRED: 50%

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, talk, and hear. The employee frequently is required to sit, stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, climb or balance. The employee will frequently lift and/or move 10 pounds and may be required to occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, and ability to adjust focus.
