Responsible for data analysis on freight and transportation issues, for both incoming and outbound freight, with significant impacts on the bottom line. Ability to learn and work on various computer systems, as well as working with various departments at the branch and corporate level is a must.



  • Represent the company in a professional manner in all communications with external freight companies’ representatives, both sales people and managers.
  • Be able to multi-task, with many projects on the go at all times, and be flexible enough to switch from one to another, with the knowledge and common sense to recognize priorities.
  • Coordinate Freight Claims, maintain records for regular follow-ups as required, possibly dealing with difficult situations.
  • Ensure Texcan's Transportation Managegement System (WISL) is kept up to date and work with Systems Analysts as required to make improvements – ie: Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) payments
  • Update regular rates within the WISL freight system on an on-going basis.
  • Work closely with AP, Purchasing and branches on review of freight rate and invoice discrepancies and be sure invoices are accurate and processed on time.
  • Maintain logistics related process documentation considering best practices and regulatory guidelines (ISO)
  • Train and work with shippers at the branches, and report to various management levels.
  • Be eager to work in a team environment, communicating with people in person as well as on the telephone, email or via written memos.
  • Other duties as required.



  • Process Improvement experience is an asset.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel and MS 365 suite.
  • ERP systems, Freight systems experience is preferred.
  • University/College Logistics Diploma or Designation preferred.
  • Good analytical & communication skills.
  • Detail oriented.
  • Demonstrate ability to work with internal and external stakeholders.
