As a member of the Human Resources team, the Recruiter will be responsible for driving the full cycle recruitment process. The Recruiter plays a central role in building and developing a qualified pool of candidates and will act as a talent scout, by being actively engaged in the external labour market, targeting individuals to consider working at Sonepar Canada.

This position can be based out of Surrey, BC or Brampton, ON. 

 

Responsibilities: 

  • Drives a high volume, full life cycle, recruitment and hiring process for a wide range of positions. This includes: website postings, various job boards/networking sites, advertising, database mining, cold calling, career fairs, sourcing/networking, screening, interviewing, assessing and presenting a diversified and high quality pool of candidates to the business leaders in a timely manner.
  • Develops and maintains key internal stakeholder relationships to understand the business requirements and deliverables.
  • Updates and manages job ads that present all Sonepar Canada companies externally as an employer of choice.
  • Conducts behavioural based interviews ensuring that candidates have a positive experience of their interview process. Coordinates and facilitates candidate interview scheduling and logistics for the hiring managers.    
  • Works closely with business leaders to help them understand and incorporate recruitment best practices, including behavioural interviewing and assessment techniques.
  • Negotiates and extends job offers via DocuSign while coordinating with the hiring manager and HR.
  • Maintains DocuSign templates.
  • Supports and processes internal talent mobility opportunities for existing employees. 
  • Sends out internal and external Career Opportunity emails.
  • Creates, supports, and manages requisition information/process (replacement name, salary information, etc.) in SF/Sonepeople.
  • Send out assessments and print results as requested.
  • Supporting recruiting operations/leaders with recruitment reporting.
  • Ensure Employee and Manager intranet pages are up to date with current recruitment related information.
  • Other duties as required

 

Requirements: 

  • 1-3 years in Recruitment Coordinator or junior Recruiter position in a fast paced environment with a focus on understanding business requirements and delivering results.
  • Post-secondary degree in Human Resources, business or other related discipline preferred.
  • CPHR designation preferred.
  • Intermediate knowelege of Microsoft Office (Excel, Powerpoint and Word).
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written along with experience communicating effectively to a diverse customer group.
  • Excellent organizational and execution skills and the ability to work in a high volume, fast paced environment while driving a consistent recruitment process.
  • Ability to change pace in a multi-faceted and dynamic environment.
  • Excellent customer service focus and team player.
  • Ability to work and make decisions independently.
