CDC Automation Manager

 

Summary

The CDC Automation Manager is responsible for successful operation of the Dematic Goods-to-Person Automation System. They will assist supervisors and associates that perform the various system functions by leading the system implementation and process improvement.

 

 

Responsibilities

  • Manage the automation system through a team of supervisors and associates the decanting, order fulfillment, quality control, replenishment, cycle counting and product consolidation.
  • Train and coach the staff of supervisors and warehouse associates on the various functions utilized within the automation system.
  • Analyze products and determine if it qualifies to be placed in the automation system and if the product should be set-up for loose and case pick.
  • Assess productivity and quality measurements. Work with supervisors and associates to ensure workflows are followed.
  • Manage the team of automation technicians to keep the automation system operating at maximum performance.
  • Collaborate with SUSA logistics and Dematic.

 

Qualifications Required

  • Minimum 5 years logistics experience managing in a distribution center environment.
  • Demonstration of increased responsibilities throughout career.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in logistics.
  • Experience with warehouse automation Goods-To-Person systems is critical.
  • Flexibility to work all shifts as required.

  • Strong leadership, management, and communication skills.
  • Coaching and mentoring of employees.
  • Goods-to-Person automation management experience required.
  • Operational knowledge of automation processes.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize.
  • Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point.
  • Ability to understand with training the Eclipse and Dematic warehouse operating systems.

Key Metrics

        • Improved productivity – total warehouse lines per associate.   
        • Quality – accuracy of decanting, order fulfillment, and inventory.
        • Inventory Control - discrepancies between shelf counts and Eclipse on-hand balances.
