Job Summary:

The Dematic Order Picker is responsible for operating automated picking systems and equipment to accurately fulfill customer orders in an electrical distribution warehouse. This role ensures efficient, safe, and precise handling of products using Dematic technology and related warehouse management systems.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Automated Picking Operations:
    • Operate Dematic automated picking systems to retrieve and stage electrical products.
    • Monitor system alerts and troubleshoot minor issues to maintain workflow.
  • Order Accuracy & Quality:
    • Verify picked items against order specifications for accuracy.
    • Ensure proper labeling and packaging of products.
  • System & Equipment Management:
    • Report technical issues promptly to supervisors or maintenance teams.
  • Safety & Compliance:
    • Follow all safety protocols when working with automated machinery.
    • Maintain a clean and organized work area in compliance with OSHA standards.
  • Collaboration:
    • Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to resolve order or system issues.
    • Assist with other warehouse tasks as needed.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience with automated warehouse systems (Dematic or similar) preferred.
  • Ability to learn and operate warehouse management software.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a fast-paced environment.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Technical aptitude for automated systems.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

 

 

Salary: $18 - $23 / hour
