The ICQA Supervisor leads and oversees the daily operations of the inventory control and quality auditing team. This role is responsible for maintaining inventory integrity, ensuring 100% accuracy of warehouse data, managing standard operating procedures (SOPs), and directing routine physical and cycle count audits. The supervisor analyzes discrepancy trends, tracks root causes, and collaborates with warehouse management to optimize supply chain and storage logistics.
Responsibilities
- Team Leadership & Development: Supervise, train, and mentor ICQA Associates and Coordinators. Manage team schedules, performance metrics, and daily auditing workflows.
- Audit Oversight: Plan and direct routine quality audits, inventory cycle counts, and physical inspections across all warehouse zones, staging locations, and assembly areas.
- Discrepancy & Root Cause Analysis: Investigate significant inventory variances and system discrepancies. Use data to track error trends, identify system gaps, and implement long-term corrective action plans.
- Systems & Data Integrity: Oversee error logging. Ensure real-time, accurate adjustments of stock variances.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Warehouse Leader to minimize shipping delays and resolve immediate material discrepancies.
- Compliance & Safety: Enforce adherence to quality control benchmarks, safety regulations, and proper material handling techniques on the floor.
Required Qualifications
- Experience: 3+ years of hands-on experience in warehouse inventory control, quality auditing, or logistics, with at least 1–2 years in a dedicated supervisory or team lead capacity.
- Technical Skills: High proficiency with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) platforms, and Microsoft Excel (advanced data tracking, filtering, and reporting).
- Process Knowledge: Deep understanding of cycle counting methodologies, inventory reconciliation, and root-cause analysis procedures.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills to deliver actionable performance feedback, write compliance summaries, and coordinate across departments.
- Equipment Knowledge: Familiarity with warehouse heavy machinery (forklifts, reach trucks, order pickers) and standard material-handling safety protocols.
Physical Requirements and Work Environment
- Active warehouse environment, requiring standing and walking for the majority of the workday.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
- Standard 40-hour work week, Monday through Friday. Requires flexibility to work evening or weekend hours based on business demands and peak volume cycles.
- Requires punctual, regular, and reliable on-site attendance.
- Eligible for company steel-toe shoe reimbursement up to $120.
Salary: $65k – $80k range plus potential annual bonus.
