Capital Electric is seeking a versatile Marketing Specialist / Generalist to support the execution of marketing initiatives that strengthen our brand, engage customers, drive demand, support sales growth, and enhance the customer experience. Reporting to the Marketing Manager, this role partners across the business to execute campaigns, customer programs, digital initiatives, and educational efforts that align with marketing and business objectives. This position is ideal for a marketer with 2+ years of experience in a marketing generalist or agency environment who enjoys balancing creative thinking with hands-on execution.
Primary Focus: Own the day-to-day execution of marketing programs, including campaign coordination, content development, events, customer education, communications, project timelines, and stakeholder collaboration to ensure successful delivery.
Where you'll Provide Support: Support analytics, e-commerce, paid media, and social media initiatives by collaborating with internal teams and external partners to help ensure these channels contribute to overall marketing and business objectives. This role provides campaign context, coordinates cross-functional efforts, reviews performance insights, and identifies opportunities to improve effectiveness and alignment across marketing programs.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Brand Development & Engagement Marketing
- Partner with the Marketing Manager to execute campaigns that increase brand awareness, customer engagement, and market visibility.
- Coordinate the development and maintenance of a content pipeline to be syndicated across varying channels and media.
- Help maintain brand consistency across all customer-facing and internal marketing initiatives.
- Contribute ideas, messaging, and creative concepts that strengthen customer engagement and brand perception.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external partners to ensure timely execution of marketing initiatives.
Digital & Performance Marketing
- Execute digital marketing campaigns across email, website, social media, paid media, and other digital channels.
- Manage website updates, landing pages, campaign assets, and digital content that support customer acquisition and engagement.
- Collaborate with the E-Commerce team and Procurement team to ensure promoted products are properly represented, available, and optimized for online discovery and purchase.
- Support campaign optimization efforts through testing, performance reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Partner with internal experts, agencies, and vendors to support SEO, paid media, marketing automation, and digital advertising programs.
- Assist with initiatives that increase customer adoption of digital tools, online ordering capabilities, and e-commerce platforms.
Experiential & Field Marketing
- Support the field in planning, execution, and pre/post-promotion of customer events, trade shows, open houses, vendor showcases, seminars, and appreciation programs.
- Coordinate event communications, registrations, promotional materials, and event logistics.
- Partner with sales teams and branch leadership to support local marketing initiatives and customer engagement opportunities.
- Assist with manufacturer-supported marketing programs and cooperative marketing initiatives.
Customer Education Program
- Coordinate marketing and promotional efforts that support Capital Electric's customer education programs.
- Assist with scheduling, communications, registrations, and attendance management for training events and workshops.
- Partner with internal subject matter experts and vendor partners to promote educational content and customer learning opportunities.
- Help maintain educational resources, program materials, and learning assets.
Analytics & Marketing Performance
- Work closely with the Marketing Analytics strategist to review campaign, event, and customer engagement performance.
- Support reporting and insights across brand, digital, education, and field marketing initiatives.
- Assist with tracking marketing investments, co-op funding programs, and campaign effectiveness to maximize impact and remain within budget.
- Leverage insights to identify opportunities for improvement and optimization.
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field.
Experience
- 2+ years of experience in marketing, communications, agency account management, or a related field.
- Demonstrated experience supporting integrated marketing programs across both brand-building and demand-generation initiatives.
- Experience managing multiple projects and stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.
- B2B marketing experience preferred.
- Experience within distribution, construction, industrial, manufacturing, or related industries is a plus.
Skills & Competencies

Salary: $75,000 - $85,000 with bonus potential
