Job Title: Receiving Team Leader

Department: CDC Warehouse

Reports To: CDC Receiving Manager

Location: Upper Marlboro, Maryland

 

Summary

     The CDC Receiving Team Leader is responsible for assisting the Receiving Manager with coaching and

       assisting the receiving associates with scheduling the in-bound freight, unloading the inbound freight

       trucks, verify bill of ladings & packing slips, pre-receive the purchase orders, sort the inbound freight for

       stocking by zone, processing internal branch returns, verifying discrepancies, filing freight claims, training

       the associates based on SOP’s and investigating & resolving open receiving issues.      

 

Responsibilities:

  • Lead 15+ warehouse associates
  • Research and resolve open receiving issues
  • Reinforcing the correct SOP’s
  • Productivity and meeting required KOPI’s.
  • Quality control
  • Communicating with Capital Electric warehouse associates, sales staff, and customers
  • Training and coaching associates
  • Other responsibilities, tasks, and duties as required

 

 

 

Qualifications Required:

  • Minimum 5 years’ logistics experience working with & leading 15 associates or more
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in logistics

 

 

Required Skills:

  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize
  • Team building
  • Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel
  • WMS & RF experience
  • Material handling equipment experience  
  • Reliable, responsible, and a great work ethic

 

 

Salary: $70,000 - $75,000 annually with bonus potential
