Sonepar is seeking a visionary leader to join our team as the Strategic Accounts Director, Data Center. In this high-level, highly visible role, you will lead the strategic direction and management of key accounts within the data center segment, driving profitable growth and leveraging Sonepar's comprehensive solutions. You will foster strong relationships with executive management teams and oversee the development and execution of strategic account plans, ensuring alignment with Sonepar's enterprise capabilities and business objectives.
This is a virtually based opportunity, with the successful candidate conveniently located near a major international airport.
What You Will Do:
- Develop strategy, playbook and growth plans to drive the data center business and manage operational effectiveness for key national accounts across operating companies.
- Prospect and acquire new multi-state data center customers.
- Utilize sophisticated sales acumen, including executive leadership selling, high-level negotiating, strategic planning, and proactive problem-solving.
- Lead the development and execution of strategic account plans, coordinating with sales, operations, branch, and regional leadership.
- Foster strong relationships with key stakeholders, identify growth opportunities, and deliver tailored solutions.
- Stay informed of market trends and product developments impacting data center accounts.
- Build and maintain relationships with customers' executive management teams.
- Hit monthly, quarterly, and yearly targets, and maintain a pipeline of opportunities.
- Negotiate and attain profitable customer agreements in compliance with Sonepar legal guidelines.
- Expand Sonepar's presence within customers' facility portfolios by selling additional services.
What You Bring to the Role:
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, business management, finance, or a related field.
- 7+ years of progressive business development/account management success in the USA Data Center segment.
- Experience working for or in-depth understanding of Electrical/Data Center Distribution preferred.
- Strong knowledge and understanding of leading Data Center product lines.
- Demonstrated strategic sales capabilities focused on identifying opportunities, closing new business, and providing best-in-class customer service.
- Excellent analytical, project management, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to multitask effectively in a dynamic, decentralized environment.
- Proficiency in CRM, ERP-related software tools, and MS Office.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders (internal/external).
- Ability to travel across the USA on average 50%.
- Authorized to work in the USA without employment sponsorship now or in the future.
- Compensation range, base salary $175-190,000
