The Digital Enterprise STEP Engineer Associate(s) are based at our Dever, Colorado offices.   Individuals considering this opportunity must be local to the Denver area or able to relocate on their own.

 

The Sonepar Training for Emerging Professionals Program (STEP) is a (12-Month) dynamic, intensive rotational program designed to educate, train, and develop skills in emerging professionals and help establish your career. You will gain hands-on experience in every aspect of our business through on-the-job training, e-learning modules, expert-led sessions, and immersive residency trips. This rotational program is geared towards individuals who are seeking a career in Software Engineering, and Information Technology providing exposure to: 

 

  • Technical Experience: Gain practical skills and knowledge through hands-on software engineering tasks and projects.

  • Site and Corporate Operations: Learn the digital tools and platforms that streamline our operations.

  • Sales Strategies: Understand how data analytics and CRM systems drive our sales processes. 

  • Processes and Procurement: Explore digital procurement systems and automated workflows. 

  • Project & Change Management:  Participate in Digital Enterprise project management activities supported by digital planning, tracking and collaboration solutions that monitor execution, manage risks and ensure successful project outcomes. Additionally, incorporate change management strategies to drive operational efficiencies and user adoption of digital solutions. 

  • E-Commerce: Dive into our digital sales channels and online customer engagement strategies.  

  • Business Philosophy: Grasp the digital transformation initiatives at Sonepar USA and our Operating Companies. 

At the conclusion of this dynamic program, you will have the opportunity to present to our Executive Leadership team on key strategic organizational initiatives.

The core rotations of this program are: 

  • Immersion into the technical enablement of Supply Chain and Sales

  • Engagement with the digital enablement of Marketing and E-Commerce

 

In addition to your rotations, you will also experience:

  • Team-Building activities with fellow emerging professionals 

  • All-expense paid travel to different company locations 

  • Enhanced understanding of our business through specialized training  

  • Growth in your technical knowledge through exposure to key functions in our Digital Enterprise 

 

Basic Qualifications 

  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Software Engineering

  • Minimum GPA of 3.0

  • Must be authorized to work for Sonepar in the USA without employment sponsorship now or in the future

  • Possess an enthusiastic/self-starter attitude 

  • Highly motivated with a growth mindset 

  • Excellent communication, time management and leadership skills 

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills 

  • Flexible and adaptable team player 

  • Hybrid schedule (3 days in office, 2 days remote)

  • Ability to travel up to 15% 

 

Base compensation for this position is within the range of $63,000 - $72,000
